The rate at which internet scams in Nigeria have been on the prowl is quite alarming. The Interswitch ATM card is the dominant card for cashing at ATM machines, serving as a much convenient alternative to getting behind long queues inside banking premises. In fact, in order to encourage the use of ATM cards, banks charge more for withdrawing inside the bank if the customer is not withdrawing up to a certain amount of money.
I have gotten my own fair share of scam emails but the one that tripped me most was that which was portrayed to have come from an email of Interswitch nigeria(

. The content of the mail indicated that my ATM card and account would be locked if I do not register my details so that the problems with my card can be fixed (by Interswitch).
